Luxembourg, 12 March 2026 – The Jean Boulle Group (“the Group”) is pleased to announce that Jean-Raymond Boulle, celebrated Mauritian businessman, company founder and philanthropist, has been awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (“GOSK”) by the President of the Republic of Mauritius. The honour recognises Jean-Raymond Boulle’s distinguished contributions to Mauritius in the international and local business fields.

The Most Distinguished Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean is Mauritius’s highest national order of merit and civilian honour, created to recognise individuals who have made significant contributions to social progress or national development in Mauritius and the wider Indian Ocean.

Mr. Boulle is honoured to receive this recognition from the government of Mauritius and will continue to steadfastly support the nation’s growth as a leader in clean energy, agribusiness and global trade.

Mr. Boulle’s longstanding commitment to his homeland has been demonstrated through his efforts in driving nature conservation, investing in industrial development and advocating for Mauritian interests on the global stage. His stewardship of the natural environment of Mauritius has included his safeguarding of the Mauritius kestrel since 1994 and the establishment of Kestrel Valley, his intervention and relocation of reptiles during the MV Wakashio oil spill crisis in August 2020 and his continued work to support the Saint Brandon Conservation Trust.

As a major shareholder in Omnicane Limited, he has actively supported and invested in the transformation of a century-old sugarcane company into a modern, resilient and diversified firm producing refined sugar, premium antioxidants and renewable energy, which supplies approximately up #to 30% of the island’s electricity.

Mr Boulle’s advocacy was pivotal to the enactment of the African Growth and Opportunity Act on 18 May 2000, which has benefited Mauritian exports to the USA and bolstered the nation’s long-term economic development. He also played a leading role in securing the Republic of Mauritius as the host for the 18th U.S.-Africa Business Summit which will take place 26-29 July 2026, led by the Washington D.C. based Corporate Council on Africa, where he serves as Vice Chairman. The Summit will be attended by many African Heads of State as well as a number of senior figures in the Trump Administration.
